Since 1989, Monica Ortelli has been working in her workshop in Faenza.
It is dedicated to the production of traditional Faenza majolica, such as the styles: carnation, pavona, pomegranate, palmette, berettino, beautiful women, grotesque, Raphaelesque; customised reinterpretation of the crumpled leaf and Art Nouveau style.
In recent years, ceramic production has moved towards a more contemporary taste, using strong, bright colours and finished with third-firing gold decorations.
