FACC – Faenza Art Ceramic Center is an international center located in Faenza with the main goal of promoting and enhancing the art of ceramic at international and local level.
Every year the Center organize different workshops and artist residencies dealing with different ceramic techniques and materials. The workshops have a duration between 2 and 5 days and are suitable for everyone. Artists have the possibility to improve their knowledge of ceramic techniques and materials, relying on the necessary resources and technical support needed to fulfil their own projects.
One of the main objective of FACC is the organization of inter-cultural / cultural exchanges between international and local artists and institutions.
Notably, FACC organises the “Ceramic&Colours Award”, a ceramic competition with the aim of promoting and enhancing the research in the field of ceramic glazes for the finishing of ceramic objects. For each edition the organizing committee will choose a kind of effect, the chemical nature of the glazes or a specific ceramic technique to be used in the realization of the works.
The Competition takes place every two years and is supported by the Municipality of Faenza, the International Museum of Ceramics and the Italian Association of Ceramic Cities.

FACC believes that creating a network within the ceramic community and the city of Faenza, is important to artists development, therefore one of the main goals is the organization of inter-cultural exchanges between international and local artists and institutions, to encourage the research into ideas, techniques and materials.
The artists residence are supported by a Faenza-based team of ceramics experts who follow their project from the beginning to their conclusion. If requested, the FACC gives also the opportunity to organise a final exhibition.
